Today's homework is:

Composition Pg. 6.
You have to write a friendly letter, we checked in class all the elements. On this page you have to write two paragraphs about your vacation time. If you have doubts please check the example on page 5.

Today we worked on:
Reading Pgs. 4 to 9.
1) On pgs. 4-5, we prepared a "Feudalism pyramid in Japan", and wrote Confucius philosophy in which Japan based the government during the Middle Ages; we did this exercise on optional pages.
2) On pgs. 6 - 8, we read and listened to the CD Track 3 to find the missing words.
3) On pg. 9 we underlined six sentences that explained the rules and process of a "Samurai battle"; we also did this exercise on optional pages.

Composition Pgs. 5-6.
1) On pg. 5 we identified the elements of a "Friendly letter", these are the following:
a) Return address. This is the "sender's " address, it is located on the top right corner. Here you also have to write the "date".
b) Then you find the "Salutation", it is followed by a comma (Dear Jack,).
c) Then you have the "Body" of the letter; here you can read two paragraphs.
d) The last things are the "Closing and signature" here the sender should write his name (Henry).

• To do your homework remember to check the elements and the correct position of each one.

Matemáticas: Problemas.

1).- Durante una verbena popular se instalaron 17 100 focos, de los cuales 5 300 eran vedes, 5800 blancos y el resto rojos. ¿Cuántos focos eran rojos?

2).- El Departamento del Distrito Federal calculó $ 550 000 para gastos de iluminación. Si sólo se gastaron $ 427, 500. ¿Cuánto sobró?.
